Consultations
Initial consultation are $150 which takes place in the clients home or office, beginning with a question and answer session. Once we determine the scope of your project, we ask questions to get a direction on such things as color selection, furniture styles, budgetary guidelines, window treatments and other preferences. We walk through your space and take notes on items you currently own that can be used in the design plan. No design information is given at the initial consultation. It is a time dedicated to getting an idea of how we can best work together to achieve your desired result.
How We Work
Our hourly rate is $85 an hour with 50% due at time of your order. You will receive detailed invoices and photo copies of all items. Although we usually have an estimated arrival date we can not guarantee delivery dates on any items that will be trucked in. It is characteristic of Currant Custom Interiors to meet all deadlines. Balance is due when shipment is received into Lafayette and if you can’t take delivery of the items when they arrive, the balance is still due. Storage options are available for a fee. All special orders, final sales, standard shipping fees, installation and taxes apply to all orders, unless otherwise specified.
The Finished Look
We ask that on installation day, we have access to the space for the entire day. Additional days may be needed depending on the size of the job. We prefer to work without the homeowner there…it allows us to be more creative. We bring all the items ordered for your space, including drapery, furniture, etc. We will hang drapery, place your rugs and furniture and accessorize the space. If there are any items we feel would make your room even more inviting, in addition to the items ordered, we will bring those and utilize them in the finished space. You are under no obligation to keep these items. We provide a detailed list with a description and price and you will have 48 hours to decide whether you want to keep the item or not.
We Travel
Currant does travel out of state. We are happy to help you with your relocation, vacation home or family and friends’ home. Expenses typically include transportation, lodging, food and storage/delivery of furnishings with all expenses kept to a minimum.
